The above pic was on the corner near work on Friday 1/11. It just says New York to me. It lost out to the pic of the ghost man.
What is behind the blue door? This was on Waverly Place and I just really liked the way it looked. I want a blue door.
This is yet another pic I found walking down the hill from the A. These are some berries on a tree. I found them beautiful in their decay. I like the detail in the first one and the background in the second.
This is the Chrysler Building from yesterday taken from 14th street near the Virgin Mega Store.
This was taken across the street from the restaurant and just as I snapped the pic a bus came by. So this is through the bus windows. I find it interesting because the sign is actually clearer then when I took it without the bus there.
Just a couple of pretty ornaments on a tree in the window of a Citibank on 42nd street. I just really like it.
The two pics above I took while leaving dinner at Gobo with P last Sunday. I took them through the barred window of an art shop. I like this artist cartoon style. I wish I could draw. The art seems simple but it doesn't translate to the page when I try to draw.
I love this pic. It's a perfect example of what this blog is about for me. I walk down the same hill every night from the A train to get home and have never noticed this before. It reminds me of a stained glassed window but I think it's really a tapestry in a window. Admittedly they may not have the light on in this room very often so maybe I'm not as unobservant as I fear. This was going to be the pic of the day on 1/7 but the Chrysler building won out.
This is a walkway I use every morning to get to work from the D train. I looked at it as I left work on Tues 1/8 and just thought it was cool. This was going to be the pic of the day but then I found Igor.
This was a flower I sat next to at dinner in Harlem with M & J. I really liked the richness of the colors but then the icy marble step won out on 1/4.
Tasti D-Lite and the city! What's not to love. This was my little treat last week. Cinnamon Crunch...I don't know why they called it crunch as there was nothing crunchy in it but it was delicious!

you had a big posting day. I love the chrystler building. It just has so much class.
Nice pics! I really like the berries, especially the one with the background. It seems somehow apocalyptic.
I also enjoy the bus pic and the "stained glass" pic. The squirrel makes me a little nervous since I was almost attacked by a killer squirrel! :)
I promise Rocky is a good guy. I won't let him hurt you. If all else fails just speak in a Russin accent!! :)
hold me.
